Mumbai: 95-yr-old Woman Dies as Fire Breaks Out at Residential Tower in Vileparle
The BMC said fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control

A 95-year-old woman died on Friday after a fire broke out at a residential building in Mumbai’s Vileparle. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

Civic officials identified the woman as Harshada Ben Pathak, who was declared brought dead to the RN Cooper Hospital. According to information available, Mumbai Fire Brigade reported the fire incident around 9 pm at the second floor of a residential tower at Vile Grand Residency in Poonam Baug, Nariman Road, Vileparle (East).

The fire was confined to the electric wiring, electric installation, television, refrigerator, wooden furniture, wooden doors, false ceiling, household articles, food articles, officials said.
