In exactly a month from now, Vicky Kaushal will be back in theatres with his movie Sam Bahadur. While everyone is eagerly waiting for it, the actor took to his Instagram handle on Wednesday morning and dropped a new poster of the Meghna Gulzar directorial.

In the new poster, Vicky Kaushal was seen dressed in Sam Manekshawan’s avatar. He sported a uniform and also kept a stern expression on his face. In the caption of his post, Vicky wrote, “SAM IS HERE!!! On 1.12.2023. One month to go!”

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Besides Vicky, Sam Bahadur also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman) and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in key roles.

Sam Bahadur will hit theatres on December 1. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal. During the teaser launch of the movie last month, Vicky opened up about the box office clash and said, “We, as an industry, should give the option of multiple films on the same day to the audience. That’s how we will flourish as an industry. We have those many weeks in a year, but as an industry, we cannot limit ourselves to making those many films in a year. We will have to make multiple films and we will have multiple releases on the same day.”
