- Can you share with us how your passion for music sparked and when you realized that singing was something you wanted to pursue seriously? My musical story began when I was just 5, playing around with a keyboard. School got in the way for a bit, but, as they say, whatever is written in your destiny will come to you. So, this happened with me as well. When I moved from Delhi to Gurgaon, I got back into music. I turned my basement into a music zone, spending a couple of hours every day learning karaoke covers with YouTube’s help.
- Your journey as a singer who is also an interior designer is quite unique. how do you manage to balance these two creative aspects of your life?Juggling singing and interior design is like doing a fun balancing act. Design work gives me a structured routine, and singing lets me be creative. It’s like having two cool jobs that make life interesting.
- What prompted you to venture into the music world? Could you share a bit about the pivotal moment that led you to pursue a career as a singerA big moment for me was at the ‘Sushant School of Art and Architecture’ orientation day. I surprised everyone, including myself, by singing. That’s when I thought, “Hey, maybe this singing thing is more than just a hobby.” After that there’s no looking back.
- Social media has played a significant role in your rise to fame. Can you tell us about your experience using platforms like Instagram or YouTube to showcase your talents and how it has impacted your career?Social media is like my big buddy. Instagram and YouTube let me show off my music globally. Talking directly with followers is like chatting with friends from all over. It’s changed my music journey in a big way.
- How would you describe your musical style, and what genres or artists have influenced your unique sound?Describing my music is like making a mix of all my favorites. I get ideas from different kinds of music and artists. But mostly, I want my music to connect with younger folks, make them feel something special. But if I have to talk about my personal style then it would be indie pop and Bollywood.
- Could you share some of the hurdles you faced in pursuing a dual career and how you managed to navigate them?Doing both singing and design work wasn’t easy. I didn’t receive formal training in singing, but I never gave up. It took a lot of hard work to balance design and music, but I kept going. Also, I used to always get nervous before performing on stage. Well, it’s not actually a hurdle but a natural process, you can say, as I never received any professional training as such. But this is not the case now. The stage is like my home, providing me with the platform to connect with my people.
- Looking ahead, what are some of your goals or aspirations as a singer? Are there specific milestones or projects you’re excited to explore in the future?Looking ahead, I want my music to mean something. Inspire people, especially the younger ones. I’m excited about trying new things, hitting goals I haven’t reached yet. Music isn’t just about tunes for me; it’s a way to tell stories that matter. So, get ready, the journey is just getting started!
