GATE 2024 Registration Deadline Extended to October 13 With Late Fees
To apply for GATE, candidates must visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in by October 13. GATE 2024 will take place from February 3–11, 2024

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 registration deadline has been extended by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, from September 29 to October 13. The institute made the announcement in a press statement, saying, “The deadline for the registrations has been extended from September 29 to October 13, 2023; late fees, however, will be applicable for the same.” To apply for GATE 2024, candidates must visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

The GATE 2024, which will take place from February 3–11, 2024 will test applicants’ thorough knowledge of a range of undergraduate-level engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities disciplines. The GATE 2024 admit card is slated to be made available on January 3, 2024, and the results are expected to be released around March 16, 2024.

GATE 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: First, visit gate2024.iisc.ac.in, the official website.

Step 2: Next, select the direct link for the GATE 2024 application from the homepage.

Step 3: Register yourself and fill out the necessary login information.

Step 4: Next, click the log in page and enter your unique login information.

Step 5: The page will then display your GATE 2024 application form.

Step 6: Carefully enter all the necessary information and upload your documents after double-checking them.

Step 7: Complete the GATE 2024 application form, pay the application fee, and submit it.

Step 8: For future reference, download and print a physical copy of the GATE 2024 application form.

The application cost for candidates in the general category is Rs 1,800. Those from the SC, ST, PwD, and female groups, on the other hand, must pay Rs 900. Students who are registering for two papers must pay twice the amount as those who are submitting applications for one exam.

There will be a total of 30 test papers available for the GATE. The objective-based GATE 2024 will be conducted entirely in English. For MCQs, only one of the four answers is accurate. In MSQs, one or more of the four possible responses are accurate, while in NAT questions, the right response must be input using a virtual keypad. It is recommended that students exclusively use the provided virtual calculator on the screen for calculations.

Candidates who fulfil the GATE eligibility requirements may apply for admission to master’s and doctorate courses in engineering, technology, architecture, science, and the humanities at institutions backed by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other governmental organisations.
