Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has revealed an exciting initiative called Samarth by Hyundai, with an International Bilateral Blind Men’s Cricket Series at its core.
This event, organized under the Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), aims to raise awareness and empower people with disabilities. The cricket series, a collaboration between HMIF’s NGO partner, ‘Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled’, and the ‘Cricket Association for the Blind in India,’ will showcase the Indian Men’s Blind Cricket Team competing against their Sri Lankan counterparts in a 5-match series.
The matches are set to thrill fans at the Karnail Singh Stadium in New Delhi from March 11th to 15th, 2024, as per the Press Release.

Samarth Initiative: All You Need To Know
Launched in Nov’2023, the ‘Samarth’ initiative strives for an inclusive, progressive world through mobility. Hyundai Motor India is the first automobile company to introduce an inclusive mobility project at a mass scale. ‘Samarth’ ensures digital accessibility for all, making the website user-friendly for people with disabilities. The company ensures its digital presence is accessible to all and pledges to make its physical locations accommodating to people with disabilities. Additionally, Hyundai is developing Swivel Seats and accessories with MOBIS to enhance the friendliness of its cars to differently-abled individuals.
HMIF Partnership with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled
Under ‘Samarth by Hyundai,’ Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) partnered with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled. The collaboration supports differently-abled individuals with assistive devices and utilizes blind cricket as a platform for physical and social development.
HMIF will organize training camps for visually impaired cricketers and host the International Bilateral series, providing them with more significant platforms to showcase their talent.
