New Delhi: A trial court in Chandigarh is expected to decide on the execution of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh's co-assassin on Tuesday.
Balwant Singh Rajoana is scheduled to be hanged on March 31.
Several Sikh groups including the ruling Akali Dal-backed SGPC have appealed for clemency for him.
The Patiala Central Jail on Sunday had returned his death warrant saying it would be "illegal" to execute Rajoana at this stage.
