BJP MP Maheish Girri hits out at AAP, Congress; says they did nothing for Delhi
Maheish Girri also attacked the AAP for sitting on dharna every now and then and asked them to rename their party as 'Ungli Uthao Party'.

New Delhi: With Delhi getting ready to elect a new Assembly after a long period of political uncertainty and logjam, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Maheish Girri hit out at both the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party during a public meeting saying that one opened only beer bars and other only spoke and did nothing for the people.

Addressing a public gathering in the national capital, Girri said, "Ek sirf daaru ke theke kholte hai, dusre sirf muh khulte hai aur hum shiksha ke mandir kholte hai. (One opened only beer shops, other only believes in making empty promises and we open education institutes.)"

He took on the Congress for dynasty politics and for not doing enough for Delhi in the last 15 years. "There were more beer bars than education centres during the 15 years rule."

He also attacked the AAP for sitting on dharna every now and then and asked them to rename their party as 'Ungli Uthao Party' for pointing fingers at others.

With an aim to get absolute majority in the Delhi Assembly, the BJP has sounded the poll bugle and has engaged all its Delhi MPs and ministers to address public gatherings.

"As the winter session of Parliament is underway and all MPs are here. So, it is for the party's benefit that everyone engage with the people," said Girri.

The BJP is still playing the Narendra Modi card and is reaching out to people in the name of development. He, however, denied the lack of local leadership by saying, "Development is the only face and agenda. Development is our dharma. We have many leaders."

On the alleged forced conversions in Agra, he refused to comment and said the government has already made the statement in this regard.
