BJP MP Yeddyurappa Rings Up Hassan SP to Go Slow in a Murder Case
A video of Yeddyurappa has emerged in which the Shimoga MP is allegedly heard talking to Hassan SP Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad.

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister and state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa has been accused of trying to influence a murder probe.

A video of Yeddyurappa has emerged in which the Shimoga MP is allegedly heard talking to Hassan SP Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad telling him not to arrest boys who are Hindus.

"You have arrested nearly 14 to 15 Hindu boys. Now you're also troubling some more boys. Please don't do that hence forth. It won't be good. You yourself are disturbing the peace of Arsikere by doing this. It won't be good. Please," he is allegedly heard telling the SP in the video.

On May 29, Arsikere in Hassan district witnessed a communal clash.

Immanuel Varun, a driver working for a private hospital, was stabbed to death when he tried to calm two groups involved in a fight.

The police later arrested 12 Muslim youths and 14 activists of a right wing group.

But Yedyurappa allegedly called the Hassan SP and asked him to go slow in the case. The video of the conversation is being circulated via WhatsApp and Facebook.
