Bangalore: The ruling BJP in Karnataka on Monday hit back at opposition Congress for criticising the performance of the B S Yeddyurappa-led government which completed three years in office.

"The Congress has no moral right to criticise the BJP government as the people of the state have rejected that party in all the elections held so far since 2008", Minister for Home and Transport R Ashoka told reporters after a brief celebration at the state unit party office.

"What is supreme in democracy is people's verdict. BJP has got it. People have reaffirmed it in the recent bypolls", he said.

Ashoka said after the completion of assembly session starting from June 2, the party would organise a meeting of its elected represantatives from panchayat to parliament level to inform them about the achievements of the Yeddyurappa government so that they can spread awareness among people.

About 15,000 representatives will be participating in the meet, he said.

He appealed to Congress and JDS to participate in the coming legislature session and discuss development issues concerning the state.

BJP activists burst crackers and celebrated its first-ever Government in the south completing its third year in office.
