New Delhi: The BJP on Saturday slammed Congress on the Muslim quota and Batla House encounter issues, saying such tactics will leave the ruling party with just tactics and no votes.
"Congress' position in the Centre has affected its strategy in the UP polls. How its own allies have been distancing themselves from party can be seen how Trinamool Congress has been critisiSing and opposing them? Polls in UP were an opportunity for Congress to get some strength in the centre," senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said.
"Reservation on communal lines was Congress's effort to change electoral agenda in UP. Law Minister's comment on 9 per cent reservation and General Secretary's (Digvijaya Singh) comment on Batla House was all done to divide the nation on communal lines," he added.
