New Delhi: Reiterating the party’s plan, BJP state unit president Keshari Nath Tripathi on Friday evening said there is no doubt that party would contest Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha polls on its own.
But he has kept the options open by saying that the party would like to think over having a coalition only if some parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) come forward for talks.
Thripathi also emphasised on the urgent need of need for President's rule in Uttar Pradesh for the forthcoming Assembly elections in the state.
Critisising the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, he said one cannot expect free and fair polls under the reign of the present government.
UNI quoted Tripathi as saying, ''People have seen the misrule of the Samajwadi Party (SP)-led Uttar Pradesh government. Over the years, the number of hunger deaths and criminal activities has increased. At present, BJP is the right choice and party's success in the local bodies polls proves it.''
