Chennai: Congress MLA Vijayadharani has filed a criminal complaint against a caller in a TV debate show who used abusive language against her and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. A 45-year-old Tamil teacher Casmirraj Tamildasan from Mandaveli in Chennai has been arrested for allegedly making the call.
He has been remanded to custody and his cell phone has been seized while the interrogation is on. The caller had called in for a debate show on Sathyam TV on the CHOGM issue and razing of a wall of the Sri Lanka memorial in Thanjavur.
While Vijayadharani explained that if the structure is illegal there is nothing wrong in the chief minister ordering its demolition, the caller who identified himself as Tamil Dasan and belongs to a pro-Tamil group abused both Jayalalithaa and Vijayadharani and used sexually abusive language against both of them.
