This will be Jayalalithaa second round of questioning in a disproportionate assets case.

New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will be appearing personally in a special court on Tuesday. This will be Jayalalithaa second round of questioning in a disproportionate assets case.

Jayalalithaa is accused of accumulated assets worth 66 crores during her tenure as Chief Minister between 1991-96. The case was filed by Janta Party President, Subramanian Swamy, and later followed up by arch rivals DMK, who wanted the case to be moved out of Tamil Nadu.

Special judge BM Mallikarjunaiah has nearly 1400 questions for Jayalalithaa, of which she answered over 560 during a special hearing last month.

Meanwhile, Bangalore police has imposed prohibitory orders around the special court as a security measure.

At the time, Jayalalithaa had vowed to accept only one rupee as her monthly salary, after which Subramaniam Swamy had filed a case of disproportionate assets against her, the case was later followed up by the DMK which wanted the case to be shifted out of Tamil Nadu to ensure she doesn't exert any influence on the court proceedings or witnesses.
