New Delhi: In a bid to create awareness and encourage people to vote in the Lok Sabha elections, Tandoor Restaurant in Allahabad has taken up the ante and introduced NaMo Thali and RaGa Basket.

The names are being derived from Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

The idea called 'Mission May 2014' with the tagline 'Eat correct, think correct, vote correct' was given by hotel owner Raju Jaiswal.

It's been just a week that the platters were being introduced and has already received a positive response. The hotel is likely to continue with it till the next government is formed.

In NaMo Thali where there is a combination of sweetness, Gujarat and BJP colour, RaGa Basket has a flavour of Congress's influence and colours.

The NaMo Thali is of Rs 100 and consists of two gram flour chapatis, a paneer dish, mix vegetable, dal fry, jeera pulao, rasgulla and a raita of pine apple and raisin with a pinch of saffron.

On the other hand, the RaGa Basket is of Rs 90 and has idli, vada, parantha roll and chutneys of three colours, each representing a colour in the Congress's symbol.

But people preferred NaMo Thali over RaGa Basket and the order for the former is increasing with each passing day. Manager at the hotel Arun Shukla said, "People prefer NaMo Thali over RaGa Basket. Many party workers have liked the concept and Thali too."

Dr Poonam Dwivedi, a customer, said, "I liked the whole concept and I asked for NaMo Thali as I am a fan of Narendra Modi."

Another customer Divyanshu, who visit the place with his friends very often prefer NaMo Thali. "I ordered NaMo Thali as I like Modi and his ideology," he said.

What's your reaction?
