Kadapa: Kadapa MP and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday staged a dharna at Pulivendula police station demanding suspension of two police officials for allegedly beating a party activist who had participated in anti-government protests recently.
Rahamtulla, who participated in a sit-in organised by the YSR Congress against the government policies, was allegedly beaten up by the police.
Jagan demanded suspension of Circle Inspector Sankaraiah and Sub Inspector Purushotham Raju for allegedly beating up the party worker.
Jagan went to police station to confront police about the alleged incident, however, he resorted to a sit-in as no senior official was present in the station on Sunday.
