A. The advent of Narendra Modi in the scheme of the things decided by the BJP proved to be fatal for the alliance.

A. Bihar has been betrayed because the resurrection of the state may get aborted in the future.

A. Forces who don't like stability and the growth in Bihar.
Q. Why Nitish didn't left NDA when 2002 happened..now he is taking this opportunity to blame BJP? Asked by: Dillu
A. In 2002, Godhra and Modi were the peripheral phenomena. Nobody expected him to take the centre stage in the decisive manner.
Q. Why is Lalu so silent after split..he is the one who is supposed to be happiest after this..but he is silent unusual of him? Asked by: yadav
A. The "coalition of the extremes" which Nitish crafted earlier may get fractured. However new social forces may enter this coalition, which may be at the cost of Lalu Prasad.
Q. How much of development agenda now JD(U) and BJP can claim..development in Bihar was done by NDA..now both partners alone..who will claim the development of Bihar. Asked by: Rahat
A. The heritage of development no doubt goes to the NDA. However, Nitish crafted the developmental agenda of Bihar with the full support of Sushil Modi. As both of them functioned like "Siamese Twins", it would be difficult to attribute the share of glory between the two.

A. I am not aware of his role.
Q. The term secular party used by all political parties, but what significance it hold in Development of India or it is a beneficiary term for rise of regional political party? Asked by: Manoj Mehta
A. Secularism and inclusion are the key factors for any development of society and a country. The makers of modern India, say Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, pursued the policy of secularism as an article of faith. That is why they could build the mammoth structure of India. This principle needs to be extended and revalidated in the context of India even now. Regional parties or national formations cannot build a society or a nation without tranquility, peace, and inclusion.
Q. What do you feel, will BJP lose or gain in 2014? Can NaMo gain more seats in UP and rest of India other than Bihar? Asked by: Anantha
A. The script of polarisation always backfires. In this backdrop, it would be difficult to prognosticate the electoral success of the BJP in general and Narendra Modi in particular.

A. Even when George Fernandes became physically disabled, he was sent to the Rajya Sabha from Bihar.

A. This was not a hurried decision.

A. In Bihar, Sushil Modi is a factor, who scripted the development in Bihar along with Nitish Kumar.

A. The split with the BJP was more related to ideological divide rather than personal ambitions.

A. Even in last two elections, minorities were well disposed towards Nitish Kumar. Their commitment may increase after the split.

A. In both the above cases, BJP and Congress tried to steal the thunder of BJD and TMC. This was not the case in Bihar. Larger than life profile of the central BJP created rift in the ranks in Bihar.

A. It is difficult to predict.

A. Nitish's strategy should not be calibrated in a narrow perspective. In the process of promoting developmental model of Bihar and other under-developed states, he had to face the onslaught on the question of the models of the developed states.
