Amid reports of a Congress meeting to discuss the strategy for Monsoon Session, BJP ministers in the Narendra Modi government also held a high-level meeting on Tuesday night.

Amid reports of a Congress meeting to discuss the strategy for the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers in the Narendra Modi government also held a high-level meeting on Tuesday night.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

The agenda of the meeting included political developments in connection with the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Vyapam Scam and the country's relations with Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu ruled out any possibility of the resignation of Union Minister for External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi controversy.

Speaking to CNN-IBN, Naidu said that Swaraj was one of the best performing ministers of the Narendra Modi government and there was no possibility of her being removed from the Cabinet.

Responding to a query on the opposition’s demand for the resignation of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Naidu said that the issue of a chief minister needs to be taken at the state level, and not in Parliament.
