179. Nepanagar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Khandwa Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Nepanagar falls in Burhanpur district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,35,117 voters in the seat, which includes 1,20,813 male voters, and 1,14,286 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Nepanagar recorded a voter turnout of 77.51%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.51%, and in 2008 it was 70.09%.
In 2013, Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu(Raju Bhaiyya) of BJP won the seat by a margin of 22,178 votes (13.18%). Rajendra Shyamlal Dadu(Raju Bhaiyya) secured 51.82% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 1,586 votes (1.48%), registering 43.49% of the total votes polled.
