'No Mansplaining Please': Kangana Ranaut Schools Trolls Mocking Her Over 'First PM' Comment
The viral clipping seems to have been selectively cut from an interview to a news channel, where Ranaut questions why Bose was not made the PM.

A recent clipping of BJP’s Himachal Pradesh candidate, Kangana Ranaut, has gone viral on social media, with Opposition and netizens trolling the Bollywood actress for “calling Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose the first Prime Minister of independent India”. The clipping, however, seems to have been selectively cut from an interview to a news channel, where Ranaut questions why Bose was not made the PM.

Reacting to the trolls mocking the actor’s general knowledge, Kangana on Friday took to X and shared a screenshot delivering information that states Netaji on October 21, 1943 formed a government of Azad Hind (Free India) in Singapore and declared himself as the Prime Minister, the Head of State, and the Minister of War while making the announcement during World War II.

“All those who are giving me gyan on the first PM of Bharata do read this screen shot here’s some general knowledge for the beginners, all those geniuses who are asking me to get some education must know that I have written, acted, directed a film called Emergency which primarily revolves around Nehru family so no mansplaining please,” she tweeted.

“If I speak way ahead of your IQ you assume I must be uninformed, well the joke is on you and it’s a lame one!!” she added in her social media post.

Did Kangana Say Subhash Chandra Bose Was ‘India’s 1st PM’? A Fact-Check

Kangana Ranaut, actor and BJP leader, landed in a controversy after a video clip of one of her interviews went viral on social media in which she can be heard referring Subhas Chandra Bose as India’s first Prime Minister.

“He went to Japan to fight for India’s freedom but wasn’t allowed to land back in the country. Soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj were tortured,” Kangana Ranaut said during a Television interview, adding that due to his immense contributions, Bose should have been India’s first PM.

Notably, the selectively cut video was shared by Congress leader BV Srinivas, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, and other opposition leaders.

Posting the video, Maliwal who was the former Delhi Commission For Women chairperson and is now AAP Rajya Sabha MP reacted and said “Vote for educated and sensible people.”

Bharat Rashtriya Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao also took a jibe at the actress saying “One BJP candidate from North says Subash Chandra Bose was our first PM!! Another BJP leader from the South says Mahatma Gandhi was our PM!! Where did all these people graduate from?”

Earlier, she was also trolled for claiming that India got real independence after Narendra Modi was elected as the prime minister of the country in 2014. Back in March, the Queen actress held a roadshow in her constituency.

Speaking to reporters before starting her roadshow, Ranaut said that the people of Mandi are proud that the “daughter of Mandi, the nationalist voice from Mandi will represent the constituency in this election.”

Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Ranaut said, “Development is the main issue for BJP…The people of Mandi will show what is in their heart.”
