14. Pathalgaon is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Raigarh (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Pathalgaon falls in Jashpur district and North region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 2,14,865 voters in the seat, which includes 1,05,713 male voters, and 1,09,144 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Pathalgaon recorded a voter turnout of 80.39%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.33%, and in 2008 it was 77.59%.
In 2013, Shivshankar Painkra of BJP won the seat by a margin of 3,909 votes (2.44%). Shivshankar Painkra secured 44.64% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 9,916 votes (7.28%), registering 47.35% of the total votes polled.
