New Delhi: There seems to be no end to the Union Ministry reshuffle. According to sources, Andhra Congress MP Purandeswari Devi, who was given the charge of Minister of State for Commerce and Industries on Sunday, is now likely to be made MoS Textiles (Independent charge).
Sources also said that Tamil Nadu MP S Jagathrakshakan will take over as the Minister of State for Commerce and Industries. Currently, Jagathrakshakan is the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting.
Following the reports of Purandeswari Devi being inducted in the Council of Ministers, the MP from Andhra Pradesh had expressed her happiness thanking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress leadership.
She had said, "I would like to thank Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for giving me this opportunity. It's an honor as well as a huge task. I hope I will be able to give my best."
