New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear a petition filed by an NGO seeking a CBI inquiry into the alleged involvement of former Karnataka Chief Minister and his family members in illegal mining.
It also seeks a probe into irregularities linking Yeddyurappa with big corporates claiming to have documents that show that Yeddyurappa and his family received kickbacks of over Rs 300 crore.
This is the same NGO on whose plea the Supreme Court had ordered suspension of all mining in the Bellary region in 2011.
Yeddyurappa, who is facing six corruption cases is out on bail in two of them.
