UP: Modi addresses rally in Gorakhpur, Mulayam in Varanasi
Modi will hold his sixth Vijay Shankhnad Rally in Gorakhpur and BJP leaders say it will be telecast live in 37 countries.

Lucknow: Two stalwarts of politics - Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav - are addressing rallies in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Both Modi and Mulayam are expecting a huge turnout at their rallies in Gorakhpur and Varanasi respectively.

Modi will hold his sixth Vijay Shankhnad Rally in Gorakhpur and BJP leaders and organisers say it will be telecast live in 37 countries.

Mulayam and Utttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will address the Samajwadi Party rally in Varanasi. The party claims its rally will witness a higher turnout than Modi's indicating that Samajwadi Party is the first choice of Uttar Pradesh voters.

SP also alleges that the people are being paid to attend BJP rallies. On the other had the BJP has accused the Akhilesh government of using state machinery and officials to ensure the rally's success.

BJP leader also claim that Mulayam is jittery following as Modi was becoming popular day by day, and so he was holding a rally on the same day as that of the Gujarat Chief Minister's.

It is the third time that the two parties are holding rallies in the state on the same day. Earlier on November 21, 2013 Modi held a rally in Agra while the Samajwadi Party had its own at Bareilly. On December 23, 2013 Modi addressed a public gathering in Varanasi while the Samajwadi Party held one at Budaun.
