Actor Vishal Opens Up On Naming Nadigar Sangam Building After Vijayakanth
Vishal appreciated Vijayakanth for his hard work and for reviving Nadigar Sangam.

The entire Tamil film industry was in shock when popular Kollywood actor and political leader, Captain Vijayakanth passed away on December 28. As per reports, he passed away after suffering from Covid-19. Many prominent people from the industry came to attend the last rites of Vijayakanth. Many of them paid tribute to the actor on social media as well. Even after two weeks of his demise, many people are still coming to pay tribute to him. The latest name was actor Vishal, who was unable to attend the funeral. After visiting the memorial of Captain Vijayakanth, Vishal interacted with the media about Nadigar Sangam. Vishal appreciated Vijayakanth for his hard work and for reviving Nadigar Sangam. Talking about Nadigar Sangam’s building to be named after Captain Vijayakanth, he said that he – as a general secretary, a fan and a member of the association – will always support the decision to name the building after Vijayakanth. “No one would object to naming the Nadigar Sangam building after a captain. I don’t think there will be any difference of opinion in this matter. An announcement will be made soon,” said Vishal.

He also said that if the decision to name the building is taken, then everyone – including the 29 members of the governing body and all the 3,500 members of the association – will have to agree to it. There will be no second thoughts about it.

In the interview, he said, “We usually tend to hail a person as a god after their passing, but many called him as such when he was alive because he has done so much. The things he did for everyone were not done over a period of only 2–3 years. If you watch the film Thirumoorthy, you’ll see all the good deeds he did for people like us and the general public. You’ll see in the film’s credits how he served as an example with his good deeds and services for everyone.”

Vishal had also served around 500 poor people near the memorial as a tribute to Vijayakanth.

Captain Vijayakanth was able to gather a lot of love and respect from the people in the acting industry as well as the political fraternity. He was known for his good deeds and for helping the poor.
