Gaurav More Opens Up On His Childhood Struggle, Says ‘Used To Feel Inferior’
Gaurav believes that his parents put a lot of effort into providing what he needed, despite the lack of financial resources.

Gaurav More is an accomplished Marathi actor. Known for his roles in the popular TV show Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra, the actor has been making headlines for a while now. The actor, who was reported to have left the show for personal reasons, has now clarified that he is currently on a break and will resume shooting for the show within a few days.

Recently, during his appearance in the segment of Rajshree Marathi titled Tyachi Gosh, Gaurav shared the challenges he faced during his struggling period revealing it was not as easy as it looks.

Acknowledging that he faced financial hardships during his struggling days, Gaurav More said, “We used to live in Ulhasnagar in a tarpaulin house near the station. Then we moved to Vitthalwadi. But, my mother says that I was suffering there which is why we left that place too and shifted to Kalyan. In the meantime, my father was transferred to Bhandup. Later, we shifted to Filterpadi where we used to live in a palm tree house. But, during the monsoons, it was very bad as one person in our house used to prevent water from entering the house whereas others used to prevent it from getting damaged.”

Speaking further about the challenges that he faced during his childhood, he added, “Initially, I used to feel inferior because of my colour and height. But after going to school, in class VIII, I started to blend in a bit. One day, I went to watch TV at our neighbors’ place but they kicked me out of the house. My mother gave me a thrashing for going there. Buying a TV was a big deal and due to the unawareness of the situation, I used to cry for TV for 4-5 days.”

Gaurav believes that his parents put a lot of effort into providing what he needed, despite the lack of financial resources. For those unversed, Gaurav More rose to prominence with his appearance at the Maharashtra Comedy Fair and made his debut on the silver screen with the film ‘London Misal’.
