South actress Nayanthara is making headlines with her last film Annapoorani. Nayanthara, who made her Bollywood debut last year alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawaan, is now joined by another talented South actress venturing into Bollywood. Interestingly, Nayanthara’s entry into Bollywood was through a film directed by Atlee, and now another South sensation, Keerthy Suresh, is following suit, collaborating with Atlee for her Bollywood debut.
Keerthy Suresh, a renowned face in the South film industry, has not only impressed audiences with her beauty but has also earned acclaim for her acting prowess, securing a National Award. Atlee Kumar recently announced his new project titled VD18, starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role.
According to reports, VD18 is the Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster film Theri. Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi are set to play pivotal roles alongside Varun in this much-anticipated project. A puja ceremony was recently conducted for the film and the Muhurta shot took place with Varun Dhawan. Atlee is producing VD18, as per reports.
Kirti entered the film industry in 2002 with director Priyadarshan’s horror film Geetanjali after earlier appearances as a child artist. She has carved a niche in South cinema and achieved critical acclaim, notably winning the National Award for Best Actress in 2019 for her role in Mahanati. Her filmography includes notable titles such as Nenu Sailaja, Ring Master, Nenu Local, Remo, Sarkar and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
With projects like Bholaa Shankar alongside Chiranjeevi and Rughu Thata, Revolver Rita, Keerthy Suresh continues to be a sought-after talent. Her star value has soared following her commendable performance in Dasara alongside Nani. Reportedly charging Rs 2 to 3 crores per film, Keerthy’s estimated net worth stands at around Rs 41 crore, cementing her status as a significant player in the industry.
