Kiccha Sudeep is gearing up for the release of his next film titled Max, which will once again see him in a mass avatar after Vikrant Rona. The movie is touted to be an action masala film, with Sudeep pulling off high octane stunts. The entire team of Max has been very secretive about the plot or even the basic premise of the film; but now, fans have got an idea of what to expect from the film. Even though a release date hasn’t been formally confirmed, the movie’s narrative summary was updated yesterday on ticket aggregator platform BookMyShow. According to the website’s summary, Sudeep plays Arjun Mahakshay, a police officer who discovers a minister’s son abusing other officers and takes him to task for it. The minister’s son, however, perishes in the ensuing altercation. According to the website, debutante filmmaker Vijay Kartikeyaa’s movie Max is about Arjun’s reaction to this event and how he fights his way out of a political conspiracy for revenge.
The actor has frequently and effortlessly transitioned into khaki in films – Inspector Vikrant Rona in Vikrant Rona, ACP Varadanayaka in Varadanayaka, ACP Madakari in Veera Madakari, ACP Pratap in Mast Maja Maadi, and ACP Thirupathi in Thirupathi. Sudeep playing a cop never fails to enthral his fans.
Fans have noted that Max has brought him back to life as a blustery police officer, which is oddly reminiscent of Ravi Teja’s 2021 Telugu smash hit, Krack. The basic premise of Max, as claimed by fans, seems to have an uncanny resemblance to Krack. They claim that this is unsurprising given that Ravi Teja’s Vikramarkudu was remade as Sudeep’s hugely successful Veera Madakari. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s casting decision may prove to be intriguing if the rumour regarding Max proves to be accurate as she had played an antagonist in Krack.
Max is Sudeep’s first signing since Vikrant Rona in 2022. Originally intended for a 2023 release, bad weather in Tamil Nadu – where the movie is being filmed – forced schedule delays.
