'Just Cause 3' to 'Dragon Quest Heroes': 6 upcoming video games with their release dates
Here's a list of video games scheduled for release in the first week of December.

Action games "Just Cause 3" and "Rainbow Six Siege," the hotly anticipated exploits of "Xenoblade Chronicles X," lavish endless runner twist "Rayman Adventures" and franchise remix "Dragon Quest Heroes" are among video game releases for the week of December 1.

1. Just Cause 3 (PS4 WinPC XBO)

From December 1

Following in the footsteps of previous consequence-free action hero playgrounds in the series, "Just Cause 3" chooses a ficitious Mediterranean spot as its island of choice where, as Rico Rodriguez, players can set about freeing the populace from dictatorial control or just let off a little steam.

2. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (PS4 WinPC XBO)

From December 1

A team-based tactical shooter which bears some similarity to elements from "Left 4 Dead" or "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" with its focus on intense, close quarters situations and two opposing sides with asymmetrical missions.

3. Rayman Adventures (iOS Android)

From December 3

Following a mid-year iOS soft launch in Oceanic territories, "Rayman Adventures" continues the endless runner tradition of "Rayman Jungle Run" and "Rayman Fiesta Run," but looking more and more like the bigger console releases with each attempt.

4. Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below (WinPC)

December 3

The well-loved "Dragon Quest" franchise gets a remix at the hands of "Dynasty Warriors" team Koei Tecmo. Colorful role-playing game series gets a much more action-oriented approach in much the same way that Koei Tecmo turned "The Legend of Zelda" into "Hyrule Warriors." Previously released on PlayStation 3 in Japan and PlayStation 4 internationally earlier in 2015.

5. Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)

From December 4

Soaring demand for its predecessor, "Xenoblade Chronicles," convinced Nintendo that the Japanese RPG was worthwhile exporting, and it's since been released for the New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This new venture was, in April, similarly well received in Japan, with a vibrant open world to explore and claim, plus large transforming robots to find and control.

6. Earth Defense Force 4.1 (PS4)

Earth Defense Force 2 (Vita)

From December 8

Giant bugs are invading the world and only the Earth Defense Force are properly equipped to repel them. "Earth Defense Force 4.1" is a remastering of "Earth Defense Force 2025" (360, PS3) while "Earth Defense Force 2" originally came out on PlayStation 2.
