Nike’s PlayStation Sneakers Land in The Same Week as PUBG And PS Classic
It is a great week lined up for Sony PlayStation fans, with a much-awaited game, a modern take on a retro console and console inspired shoes, all landing globally.

The first week of December is all set to bring in a lot of excitement for Sony PlayStation fans. There is the much-awaited release of the PUBG battle royale game on the PlayStation 4 console, on 07 December, after an year which saw it remain an exclusive title on the rival Microsoft Xbox platform. Then there is the slated release of the PlayStation Classic console on 03 December. But before all that, PlayStation fans will be able to get their hands (or feet) on Nike’s new PlayStation inspired sneakers—these land globally on 01 December.

The New PG 2.5 x PlayStation Colorway are signature basketball shoes, designed for NBA superstar Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The new PG 2.5 x PlayStation are inspired by Sony's gaming console, and the design cues aren’t just limited to the latest PlayStation 4 console but instead also remembers the original PlayStation console and the ones thereafter. The sneaker is available in a grey colorway, which is the same as the colour that the original Sony PlayStation console adorned. There is the colourful "PS" logo on the left shoe's tongue. The tongue on the right shoe has a Paul George "PG" logo. On the side walls, you will see the controller icon prints. Nike has given the New PG 2.5 x PlayStation shoes the Zoom mid-sole. The price of the shoe is set at $110 (around Rs7,700).

The same week also sees the release of the PlayStation Classic. This is the latest take on the retro console, and it will connect to your TV or display via HDMI. The PSC also has a micro USB port for power, giving you the option of connecting it to the TV itself as a power source, if your TV’s USB port has a high enough power rating. The Classic uses the same 8-button wired controller as the original PlayStation console, though there are slight design tweaks to make it a tad more compact. It is priced at $100, and will be a nice thing to add to the retro gaming collection. Or perhaps to show the younger generation exactly how their shiny new PlayStation consoles evolved.

That week will end for Sony PlayStation fans with the arrival of the popular battle royale game PUBG on the console. PUBG will be available in three avatars at launch time. The first is called PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Survivor’s Edition which is priced at Rs2,750. Then there is a Looter’s Edition which also costs Rs2,750 and then there is the top-of-the-line Champion’s Edition priced at Rs3,999. If you pre-order PUBG now, you will be available download these on day one of the release.
