It is common for many people to get confused while reviewing a restaurant’s menu and then choosing only some of the dishes to order. Now, reportedly a Pakistan hotel chain, that has hotels in Abbottabad, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has come up with a funny solution to this problem. An Instagram user named Shokeen Jatti has shared a clip in which a person is reading the hotel chain’s menu card.
The card has a special section titled “Umda’s Women Special” in which the dishes are described as follows, ie- Kuch Nahi (Nothing), Kuch Bi (whatever), As You Wish, Nahi Tum Bolo (No you speak) and Nahi Nahi Tum Bolo. Humorously, the hotel has also mentioned the item’s rates, Kuch Nahi- Rs 220, Kuch Bi (Rs 240), As You Wish (Rs 260), Nahi Tum Bolo (Rs 280) and Nahi Nahi Tum Bolo (Rs 300).
Social media users were left in splits after watching the clip. One of the users commented that such menu cards should be available in every restaurant. Another user wrote that the restaurant owner forgot the item “Hmm” on the menu card. Other users dropped laughing emoticons in the comments section.
A similar video was shared on Instagram showing a special section named Mps Kitchen Special from the restaurant’s menu. These are the listed items: “Kuchh Nai for Rs 220, Kuchh Bhi for Rs 240, As You Wish for Rs 260, Nai Tum Bolo for Rs 280, Nai Nai Tum Bolo for Rs 300, Baba ji Ka Thullu for Rs 350. Underneath the listed menu a line is written which reads: “Your diet is a bank account, Good food choices are good investments.” The caption of the video reads that the perfect menu doesn’t exist.
Many Instagram users found the menu amusing and dropped laughing emoticons in the comments section. Some of the users also recognised the menu from the restaurant located in their city and one of them mentioned that it is located in Raipur.
Earlier, a restaurant’s menu fed many for a long time when delicious food used to be pocket-friendly. A photo of the menu card and rates of sweets, samosas and kachoris in 1980 went viral. It showed that 1 Kg of sweets used to be available for Rs 10 to Rs 15.
