People, in India, offer prayers to the almighty and seek blessings for the well-being of their families and loved ones. From performing aarti to offering flowers and fruits to the deity, devotees leave no stone unturned. Now, a video of a man performing a unique stunt at a temple has created a buzz on social media.

The viral clip shows the man cracking a coconut with his forehead. Later, he fainted, leaving everyone worried. The incident occured when the man was taking part in the puja ceremony. As it can be seen in the clip, the man was chanting a hymn with a coconut in his hands. A few seconds after cracking the coconut, he faints.

The video, within hours of being shared, sparked concern online fuelling a debate among Internet users who seemed a little disappointed due to such a dangerous practice. However, a section of people also expressed their amusement saying these bizarre trends and incidents only happen in India. One of the users made a sarcastic comment that read, “Operation success but patient death.” Another quipped saying that he sacrificed himself to prove himself as he commented, “He sacrificed himself to prove that he’s god’s child.” Meanwhile, a user noted, “India is not for Indians Also..!!”

Not long ago, another video of a priest performing puja for his new car, made it to the Internet capturing everyone’s attention. However, the priest was not Hindu but an African man. The video displayed the African priest reciting Sanskrit shlokas as he performed the rituals seeking blessings from god for the new car as goodwill.

The video was accompanied by a text that read, “African Hindu Pundit doing new car Pooja.”
