Carlos Alcaraz has already etched his name in the history books of tennis at the age of just 21. The Spaniard took down the legendary Novak Djokovic at the Centre Court to claim his second-consecutive Wimbledon title on July 14. Alcaraz dominated the first two sets before losing three championship points in the third. He bounced back quickly and won the tie-breaker to secure his second Grand Slam title of the year. Following his historic Wimbledon triumph, a childhood photo of Alcaraz has become viral. The youngster was captured watching Djokovic in action on a clay court.

A fan feels for Novak Djokovic, it’s “kinda wild to think that some kid will be at your matches while you’re at the top of your game waiting to be old enough to dethrone you.”

Carlos Alcaraz won the French Open title last month by beating Olympic Champion Alexander Zverev. The Spaniard is now the youngest player in the Open Era to win both the Wimbledon and the Roland Garros in the same year. The previous record was held by Bjorn Borg, who achieved the rare feat in 1978 at the age of 22 years and 32 days.
Alcaraz is also the third youngest player to win the Wimbledon title in back-to-back editions. He is the first man to secure all four Grand Slams before turning 22. Spanish legend Rafael Nadal had three major titles at this stage of his career.
