Hero has officially rolled out its much-anticipated Xtreme 125R after a sneak peek of the bike surfaced online.
Priced between Rs 95,000 and 99,500 (all prices, ex-showroom), this new addition to the Hero family stands out from other 125cc commuters, boasting a premium and sporty design. Notable features include single-channel ABS (available on the top variant) and all-LED lighting.
Besides this, the bike is all set to hit Hero dealerships across India starting from February 20. The Xtreme 125R is available in two variants – IBS priced at Rs 95,000 and ABS at Rs 99,500. (all prices, ex-showroom).
Under the hood, the Xtreme 125R is powered by an all-new air-cooled, 125cc, single-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 11.5 bhp at 8,000rpm. Hero proudly claims that this bike offers more power than most in its class, with the exception of the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. Hero claims a fuel efficiency of 66kpl for the Xtreme 125R.
Riding on an all-new diamond frame supported by a 37mm telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable Showa monoshock, this bike ensures a smooth and comfortable experience. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and a rear drum brake, with single-channel ABS featured on the top variant.
While it competes in price with the TVS Raider (Rs 95,219-1,02,770) and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 (Rs 99,571), it sits slightly above the Honda SP125 (Rs 86,017-90,017).
