India batting great, Virat Kohli was seemingly in good spirits when out on the field for the second innings as he was seen explaining to his teammates what went down during the dangerous mix-up between him and Rishabh Pant earlier in the 2nd Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

The fumble occurred during the 19th over of India’s batting innings where Kohli who is known to be a hard runner between the wickets, looked to call Pant for a single after cutting a length delivery off Khaled Ahmed. But the wicketkeeper-batter came in with a half-hearted attempt and stopped midway to leave Kohli hanging by a thread.

The former Indian skipper had seemingly left all hope but the bowler, who had the ball made an even bigger fumble as he missed the stump to give Kohli a new lease of life as he went on to score a fine 47 runs in 35 balls to add to India’s total.

The ace Indian batter had a sigh of relief and wore a sheepish smile on his face, as Pant who was at fault partly for denying the run, also walked toward the talisman batter with a sly smile of his own, to hug it out with his teammate and to put the miscommunication behind them, as the carried onwards.

The moment caught the attention of fans all over, who praised and adored the duo for their camaraderie and their respect for each other to forgive the other and keep moving on.

As far as Team India is concerned, the Rohit Sharma-led side is in a pole position to take the win and will rely on their bowlers to get the remaining eight wickets as soon as possible to give the Indian batting chase down whatever the target maybe with a similar intent as seen on Monday.

A win in Kanpur will be crucial for the Indian team as they hope to confirm a spot in the World Test Championship final hangs in the balance despite sitting at the top of the standings.
