We often come across various news about IAS officers for various reasons. Today, we will talk about one such IAS officer who has been in the news for quite a few days now. We are talking about an IAS officer named Madhumita Singh who serves as a Joint Magistrate in Barabanki District, Uttar Pradesh. She gained attention after her car was stopped by the local police and the blue beacon light was removed from the car. Let us know about the details of the IAS officer.
Madhumita Singh hails from a small town named Samalkha located in the Panipat district of Haryana. She cracked the toughest exam in the country in her third attempt. Talking about her family, her father, Mahavir Singh is a former Air Force officer while her mother, Darshan Devi is a homemaker. He also appeared for the Civil Services examination in 1987 but failed to crack the examination. After years his daughter fulfilled his dream and became a civil service officer. She cracked the examination with an All India Rank of 86 and joined the civil services as an IAS officer.
The IAS officer from Haryana did her schooling at Maharaja Aggarsain Public School. She scored 96 per cent in her Class 10 examination and 88 per cent in her 12th-grade examination. Following the completion of her schooling, she pursued a BBA from Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology. She completed her MA in Public Administration from IGNOU. Adding to her academic achievement, she also won a gold medal in the All India Maths Olympiad organised by Kurukshetra University.
IAS Madhumita Singh first appeared for the UPSC examination in 2017, in which she cleared the prelims and the mains round but failed to clear the interview round. In 2018, she appeared for her second attempt but failed to clear the prelims examination. She then decided to prepare for the examination with more dedication. In 2019, she cracked the examination with an AIR of 86.
