The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 examination date. The exam conducting body will administer the NEET UG 2024 exam on May 5. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate is the only entrance test for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS and other allied courses in the country. Apart from the NEET UG 2024 exam date, the NTA has yet to notify undergraduate medical students about the registration deadline and the start of the NEET application form.
According to reports, NTA is expected to release the NEET UG 2024 application form this week. The undergraduate medical candidates can apply online at neet.nta.ac. as soon as the NTA releases the NEET UG 2024 application form and opens the registration portal.
The registration date and the NEET UG 2024 exam pattern and syllabus will be announced. The exam pattern and syllabus are expected to remain the same, and any changes in the NEET UG 2024 pattern will be informed well in advance, giving medical candidates ample time to prepare for the changed pattern. The basic registration process for NTA NEET UG 2024 will consist of four steps: registration, application, uploading an image, and payment.
NEET UG 2024: Eligibility Criteria
–– To be eligible for NEET 2024, candidates must have completed 17 years by December 31, 2024.
–– Students who have completed or are enrolled in 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the NEET UG 2024 exam.
–– Candidates interested in applying for NTA NEET 2024 must have completed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at a recognised board.
NEET UG 2024: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website at neet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the NEET UG 2024 application link.
Step 3: Fill out the NEET UG application form as directed.
Step 4: Upload all the scanned images in the format specified.
Step 5: Pay the application fee via the online payment mode.
Step 6: Crosscheck all the details and submit the NEET UG application form 2024.
The NTA will conduct NEET 2024 offline, using pen and paper. Every year, over 20 lakh aspirants take the NEET UG exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc nursing, and AYUSH courses. While the NTA is in charge of administering the exam, NEET seats in India are allocated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) through All India Quota counselling and by state-conducting bodies for 85 per cent of state quota counselling sessions.
