How to Buy Real Madrid Tickets
How to Buy Real Madrid Tickets
Real Madrid is one of the most popular soccer teams in the world, and tickets to their games are highly coveted! To make sure you get the best tickets without being scammed, purchase online directly through the team's official website, over the phone with the stadium, or from the ticket office on the day of the match. Purchase your tickets as far in advance as possible, especially for big games, to make sure you can get your Real Madrid experience!
Steps

Purchasing Online

Navigate to ticket sales section on Real Madrid's official website. You can find the team's schedule for upcoming matches and ticket availability at https://www.realmadrid.com/en/tickets. Generally, the next 2 upcoming matches will have confirmed details and tickets available for purchase, while the rest of the matches are on hold for confirmation. There are matches scheduled throughout the whole year, though not all of them are located at Real Madrid's home stadium.

Choose an upcoming match date that works with your schedule. On the left side of the game listing, you'll see the date and time for the match. Once you find a match that lines up with your schedule, look at the opposing team and ticket prices. If everything looks good, click the “Buy Tickets” button to the right of the game information.

Select the number of tickets you'd like to purchase online. Click the drop-down option to choose your number of tickets. Availability varies from game to game, but Real Madrid has a maximum purchase of 6 tickets per person. If you're going with a big group, you may need to have other people purchase blocks of up to 6 tickets as well.

Choose a seat location based on your budget. Next, you can choose your seat location from an overview of the stadium. Hover your mouse over each section to check the prices, then select the area you'd like to sit in. From there, you'll have more seating and pricing options for that specific section. Select your seats and click Continue. If you're looking for the best and most expensive seats, choose a VIP booth or the low middle stands on the sides of the stadium. If you're just happy to go to the game and you want a bargain price, pick a seat in the high stands behind the goals. Don't worry too much about where you'll be seated! The stadium's design ensures that no matter where you sit, you'll have a great, clear view of the field. If the website won't let you hover over the sections and you see “No hay localidades disponibles” (No seats available), it means that there aren't enough seats together. Sometimes changing your number of tickets can change availability.

Select a VIP package if you want to pay extra for special amenities. The package comes with seats in a prime location, access to hospitality facilities, free food and drinks, and a guided tour of the Santiago Bernabéau sports facilities. These tickets often cost around 225-600 euros for an average game. For high-profile games, VIP ticket prices can soar up to 1,000 euros.

Enter your payment information and confirm your purchase. You'll need to include contact details such as your name, phone number, email, birthday, and city of residence. Once you've filled out the contact form, enter your credit card or PayPal information and click “Confirm Purchase.” Keep in mind that there are no refunds or exchanges available once you purchase your tickets. If you want to download electronic versions of your tickets onto your mobile device, make sure to click this option on the Confirm Purchase page.

Pick up your tickets ahead of time at the stadium offices. The offices are located on the first floor of the stadium shopping center. They're open from 10 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 10:30 am to 6:30 pm on Sunday and holidays. However, they are not open on match days. If you don't pick up your tickets ahead of time, you can also secure them on the day of the match by going to the stadium ticket window. If you downloaded electronic versions of your tickets onto your mobile device, there's no need to pick up tickets! Just scan your e-tickets at the gate when you get to the stadium, and you're all set. You can also print your tickets at home for some games. However, other games don't allow printed tickets from home, so be sure to check the game disclaimer online.

Purchasing Tickets on the Phone

Call Real Madrid's telephone sale service number at (+34) 902-324-324. This is the best option if you're in Spain and you don't have Internet access to book your tickets online. If you're in the USA, avoid this method so you don't have to pay the fee for an overseas call. This is the only official line you should use for purchasing Real Madrid tickets. Never give your credit card information to other sellers over the phone!

Wait to get through, then dial 1 for football tickets. The line is often very busy, so it may take a few tries to get through. Keep calling until you reach the prompt to press a number, then press 1 to select the football tickets option and wait for a salesperson to speak with you.

Ask for an English-speaking operator if you don't speak Spanish. You will likely reach a Spanish-speaking salesperson first. If you need to speak with someone who understands English, simply ask the salesperson and wait while they accommodate you.

Have your credit card information ready to purchase tickets. To make the process more efficient, keep your credit card close by. Confirm your ticket prices, then read off your credit card information to the salesperson when prompted. You can purchase up to 6 tickets on the phone. Keep in mind that ticket exchanges and returns are not allowed. Real Madrid accepts all major credit cards for payment.

Collect your tickets at Taquilla (Gate) 14 in the stadium on match day. For last-minute purchase tickets, you'll need to go to this specific gate instead of the regular stadium ticket window. Once you arrive at the stadium, follow the numbered gate signs to find Gate 14. For some games, you can print your ticket at home and bring it to the game. However, certain games don't allow this, so always check the official game disclaimer beforehand!

Buying Last-Minute from the Ticket Office

Check the team's schedule online to confirm the date and kick-off time. Look for the next upcoming game and make sure the team is playing at home, at the Santiago Bernabéau Stadium, by checking the order of the team names listed. If Real Madrid Fútbol Club's name comes first, that means it's a home game. If their name is listed second, then it's an away game. For example, if you see “Real Madrid CF – Sevilla FC,” you'll know it's a home game. Generally, games are scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

Go to the Real Madrid stadium ticket window #44 before the match. Last-minute tickets are generally available from this window, starting from the day before the match and going up until the morning of the match. As you approach the stadium, you'll be able to see the numbered windows for the box offices. Window #44 is located in Torre (Tower) A in the stadium. This window is usually open from Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 7 pm.

Ask a salesperson if there are any tickets available. This is a good option for smaller games. Oftentimes, they'll have some tickets available, but seating options may be limited for families and groups. For games against more famous teams, such as Barcelona or Celta- Vigo, you probably won't be able to find any tickets at the last minute. For example, tickets to El Clásico are extremely hard to come by, especially so close to the game. To ask “Are there any tickets left for tomorrow's game?” in Spanish, you would say “¿Hay entradas para el juego de mañana?” To ask “Are there any tickets left for today's game?” in Spanish, you would say “¿Hay entradas para el juego de hoy?”

Purchase your tickets at the window and take them with you. If there are any tickets left, select your seats and confirm the price. Pay for your tickets in euros and take them with you to get into the game.

Ensuring Ticket Availability

Expect to be able to purchase your tickets several days in advance. Tickets for normal games are usually made available to the general public about 5-10 days ahead of time, depending on when the stadium confirms the match date. If you're a club member or a Madridista card holder, you can get early access to tickets for all of Real Madrid's games. If you want to purchase a Madridista card, they cost 30 euros a year.

Purchase tickets to a big game no later than 2 weeks beforehand. Make sure you can get tickets before they sell out by purchasing ahead of time. This is especially important for popular games, such as Madrid vs. Barcelona. Tickets to the Champions league games (which feature the best teams in Europe) are often made available 2-3 weeks before the confirmed date, since tickets to these games are in high demand.

Check ticket availability regularly. If you can't find any tickets in the week leading up to the game, don't worry! Season pass holders sometimes decide to skip the game and make their ticket available to the public, so you may find more tickets opening up closer to the date of the game. Refresh the ticket page throughout the weeks leading up to the game.

Avoiding Scams or Overpaying

Expect to pay at least 30 euros for a ticket. The cheapest tickets available for small games are usually around 30-40 euros, or 50-60 euros for high-profile games. Although prices can vary depending on the game, expect to pay around 95 euros for a decent seat. The best seats ands VIP packages cost even more, sometimes up to 225-600 euros. There are several factors that can affect the ticket price for a certain game, including who the competition is, seat location, the day of the week, and whether or not the match will air for free on TV.

Don't buy tickets through an agent. Agents will often raise the price of the tickets by hundreds of euros in order to make a sizable profit. Worst case scenario, the agent could even sell you fake tickets. Skip the middleman and purchase directly from the Real Madrid team website, phone line, or in person for the best possible deal! Some agents will charge up to 700 euros for a ticket—you should not need to pay this much!

Avoid purchasing tickets from scalpers. At the stadium, you'll likely see people standing outside the gates, selling both fake and real tickets. If you're desperate for a ticket, ask the person which seat number and section the ticket is for, then have the seller accompany you to the turnstile and scan their ticket. If the scanner light flashes green, then the ticket is legitimate and you can pay for it. However, if the seller refuses to go to the turnstile and scan their ticket, then the ticket is likely fake.
