The Madras High Court lifted its stay on
the movie on Wednesday.

Mumbai: The verdict is out and the much awaited Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini will be releasing all over India, as per schedule, on Christmas Day.

On Wednesday the Madras High Court lifted the stay on the film's release with an interim order after the film's makers offered to pay guarantee money to the court. The producers of Ghajini have to now pay the Madras High Court Rs 5 crore in assurance.

Earlier the producer of Tamil version of the movie, A Chandreshekhar, had asked for a stay on Ghajini's release, stating that forged documents were used to get the copyright.

The court will resume its hearing of the case on the January 6, 2009 but the box-office is already smiling at Ghajini

Some 800 paid preview shows on Wednesday were sold out across major multiplexes all over India.

“We have 600 paid previews across all our theatres,” says AVP Cinema Programming, Fun Cinemas Bhumika Tiwari.

With around 1500 prints of Ghajini hitting worldwide, the film's gross collections are expected to be impressive. Wednesday's paid previews have already given a boost to its advance collections.

It seems Aamir Khan has already done it again.
