The Puducherry unit of the AIADMK today criticised Chief Minister N Rangasamy for his failure to initiate steps to prevent collection of user charges levied by JIPMER Hospital for treatments and investigations.

In a resolution adopted at the office bearers’ meeting today, the party observed that JIPMER management had failed to keep up its promises made at the time of conversion of the institution into an autonomous one. Though the issue was brought to the notice of the State government in the budget session, no action was taken by the Chief Minister. The party condemned both Central and State governments.

Another resolution urged the Centre to suspend the N R Congress government as it had failed to fill up more than 2,000 government posts and retrenched about 5,000 employees during it’s tenure. The party also expressed concern over improper garbabe disposal and said that it had increased threat of outbreak of diseases.

Yet another resolution condemned M Karunanidhi for organising the TESO Conference. The meeting also observed a two minute silence to condole the death of the party Joint Secretary Manimaran.
