KOCHI: Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) launched a Lasik treatment Centre, a modern facility for laser treatment for ophthalmologic patients. The new treatment is painless in nature and is less time consuming. The treatment used a new technology called Carl Zeiss MEL-80.Actor Priya Lal inaugurated the Amrita Lasic Centre. Amritanandamayi Math general secretary Swami Purnamritananda Puri blessed the event. Script writer S N Swami was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on the importance of a positive approach towards the patient.Hospital Medical Director Dr Prem Nair, Ophthalmologic department head Dr Gopal S Pillai, Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjeev K Sinh, Dr Anil Radhakrishnan, Dr Meenaksh Dhar and Dr Anuradha Rao also spoke.
