Mumbai: Sanjiv Pansare, a co-pilot with Air-India, was found murdered at his home in Thane on Tuesday evening.
According to police, a quarrel between Pansare and his neighbour Pravin Kumar Bhartiya over renovation in the former's house led to the murder.
Bhartiya later surrendered at Thane's Kapurwadi police station.
On Monday evening, Pansare had an argument with Pravin's wife over the construction dust spilling out of the site to his house.
The fight later took an ugly turn and Pravin stabbed Pansare with a knife. Police have also filed charges against Pravin's wife as a co-accused.
Interestingly, the Bhartiyas had earlier filed a complaint of harassment against Pansare.
Investigating Officer Vilas Patil said, "The two neighbours had a fight over plaster of Paris dust that eventually led to the murder of Pansare."
