Lata Mangeshkar's 81st birthday celebrations won't have younger sister Asha Bhosle as part of it. Asha tweeted about not being able to spend the day with Lata di, "My favourite female singer and my elder sister Latadi celebrates her birthday today. Too bad I am in Hong Kong and can't attend her birthday. I will miss out her birthday celebrations but my wishes are always with Lata didi.'
Yesterday, the older Ms Mangeshkar had tweeted about how she feels grateful about her birthday being just a day after two of her favourite people. She said, "Main apne aap ko bahut khush naseeb samajhti hoon ki mera janamdin mere do bahut pasandeeda logon ke itne kareeb hai; do aise log jinki main bahut izzat karti hoon. Aaj Bhagat Singhji ke saath-saath mere bhai Yash Chopraji ka janamdin bhi hai. Main Yashji ko bahut badhaai deti hoon aur ishwar se prarthana karti hoon ki woh 'jeevet sharadah shatam'! Tathaastu!" (I think I am very lucky that my birthday is somewhere close to the birthdays of two people I really like. Two people I respect. Today is Shaheed Bhagat Singh's birthday and also my brother Yash Chopra celebrates his birthday today. I wish Yashji and pray to God that he lives thousand years.'
