BANGALORE: Two robbery incidents took place in the city on Tuesday night.In Byatarayanapura police station limits, a businessman was robbed of Rs 4 lakh cash by three bike-borne miscreants near Satellite Bus Station on Mysore Road. The victim, Ashok Kumar, a resident of Byatarayanapura runs a wholesale shop of plastic items in Kumbarpet.The police said that after closing the factory, Kumar was carrying `4 lakh cash and was going home on his scooter. Meanwhile, three unidentified miscreants on two bikes hit his vehicle from behind and as he fell down, they allegedly threatened him at knife point and snatched the bag that had the cash and fled the scene.Byatarayanapura police have registered a case and are further investigating.In other incident, Shivakumar , 27, of Manjunathanagar in Subramanyapura, was robbed of two mobile phones and `5,000 cash by three miscreants in the pretext of dropping him home. The police said that Shivakumar, a construction supervisor, had gone to Girinagar to pay a visit to his friend’s wife, who had been admitted to a hospital. While, returning home he sought drop from a bike rider near Hosakerehalli Ring Road signal. The rider accepted and dropped him near Kadirenahalli Petrol Bunk. While he was walking towards home, the rider returned with two others and waylaid Shivakumar near Dodda Gowdanapalya bus stop. The trio robbed him of his valuables at knife point before fleeing. Subramanyapura police have registered a case in this connection.
