BANGALORE: BBMP Commissioner H Siddaiah on Monday sent a detailed report to the State Government on the fire mishap that took place on its premises on Saturday night.In the letter, Siddaiah said the fire seen in BMTF office, later spread to the IT Department and Auditing Department offices. The artificial roof and metal sheet were damaged in the incident. Mayor, Deputy Mayor, ruling party leader, Commissioner, Special Commissioner, Engineer-in-chief and other senior officers visited the spot after the incident. BMTF has been given additional security and a case has been filed in the Halasuru police station, he stated in the report.The forensic officials have collected the evidences available on the spot. The electricity officials also visited the spot to check the possibility of a short circuit, he said adding the civic body would take further action based on their reports.On Sunday, the BMTF officials along with Halasuru police conducted further inspection and Home Minister R Ashok too visited the spot, he stated.
