CHENNAI: The British Council and TERI invite young, environmentally-friendly minds to apply for the ‘International Climate Champions 2011’. Applicants with an interest in and passion for environmental conservation, and who are looking at ways to make a change are invited to apply. Twenty-five green crusaders will be selected this year.Those selected will receive training, mentoring and guidance from experts in India and the UK to hone their skills and be moulded into effective communicators, influencers and leaders. Applicants should be Indian citizens, aged between 18 and 21 years (as on 26 June 2011) and should have a project idea aimed at mitigating the impact of climate change for communities, nationally or internationally.
