Centre creating hurdles for our government, says Manish Sisodia
There is mismanagement in private schools and our aim is to improve standard of education in government schools: Sisodia.

New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal's government has completed one year in power in Delhi - virtually with no opposition in the assembly - amid rage, raids and controversies.

To recall it precisely, it was a year of high expectation for the Aam Aadmi, while on the other side questions were raised over visible developments in the national capital.

Though Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed 'Jo Kaha.. So Kiya' in ensuring corruption free departments beside other achievements, opposition blatantly rubbished government's claim.

Speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN on Saturday Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia not only expressed satisfaction over winning people’s heart in ensuring good governance but also pledged to serve the society till they are in power.

"People in Delhi wanted good governance and a corruption free government. Therefore they supported AAP and I am happy that our government delivered to people's expectation," he said.

"They wanted easy governance where all government related works to be hassle free. In last one year we make them understand about their rights from the SDM to the RTO office," a proud Sisodia said.

On departmental corruption he said, "It's not being curbed to 100 per cent because ACB is not under us. There are some issues in the lower ranks and therefore, we have to be extra vigilant."

On the context of controversy over former law minister Jitender Singh Tomar's fake academic degree, he said, "He is not corrupt person but had some issues with his degree in the past and a probe is going on. We removed him the day we had suspicion on him. We believe in zero tolerance in corruption related matters."

On June 9, 2015, Tomar was arrested in connection with the row over the authenticity of his academic degree.

When asked about the differences with the centre, he said, "They are creating hurdles and ordered CBI raid at CMO. The Delhi government is not fighting for its own benefits but for people. Centre should help us in Delhi's development."

Claiming that his priority is in education and health sectors, he said, "There is mismanagement in private schools and our aim is to uplift the standard of education in government schools."

He said that the centre should allow them to work instead of indulging in mud-slinging.

When asked infrastructure on education is not visible in Delhi, he said, "It only one year we are ruling the state but we are working hard to improve the standard of education in Delhi."
