HYDERABAD: With chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy giving green signal for the draft Metropolitan Development Plan for the city, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority will invite objections and suggestions from people and other organisations for two months, before the plan is put into use.The MDP and draft Zoning and Development Promotion regulations will be made available for inspection at HMDA complex, Tarnaka and zonal offices at Ghatkesar, Medchal, Shamshabad, Shankerpally and municipal offices at Sangareddy and Bhongir from July 22 to September 21, from 11.30 a.m to 4 p.m.All objections and suggestions will be duly examined and considered before finalisation of the plan and it will be forwarded to the government for final approval.The draft plan was prepared taking into consideration a projected population of 1.84 crore by 2031.  It has proposed a radial-concentric structure of development with new urban nodes and centres in all directions to promote balanced development, with a peri-urban zone and a hierarchy of circulation network to cater to future travel needs.  The HMDA area extends to 55 mandals in five districts of  Hyderabad, Medak, Rangareddy, Mahaboobnagar and Nalgonda, extending to an area 7,228 sq km.  It includes the areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Sangareddy and Bhongir municipalities and also 849 revenue villages.
