BHUBANESWAR: Close to three months after its suffered an embarrassing defeat in the three-tier panchayat polls, the Pradesh Congress Committee will begin its assessment of the poll from June 5.The State unit of the Congress on Thursday announced an elaborate schedule during which PCC chief Niranjan Patnaik as well as Odisha affairs in-charge of the national party Jagdish Tytler will take stock of the debacle and the factors responsible for it.Patnaik said the State had been divided into six zones to facilitate the review of the poll. Zone six will comprise the central Odisha pockets including Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Keonjhar organisational districts. The assessment will kick start from Zone six on June 5.Review of Zone two which includes northern Odisha districts will be held at Balasore on June 6 whereas Zone five comprising Sambalpur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Nuapada, Sundargarh and Rourkela will be covered on June 7 at Sambalpur. Similarly, performance of southern Odisha districts will be reviewed on June 8 at Jeypore.
