Bharti on Friday was taken to Agra, a day after Supreme Court denied interim bail to him and his police custody was extended for three days.
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi party MLA Somnath Bharti has been sent to one-day judicial custody in connection with an alleged domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed against him by his wife Lipika Mitra.
Bharti on Friday was taken to Agra, a day after Supreme Court denied interim bail to him and his police custody was extended for three days.
Bharti, while on the run, had taken shelter at various places in and around Agra and Mathura districts.
He had surrendered in Dwarka police station on late Monday evening with his team of lawyers. He was arrested immediately after surrendering.
