Even as former CM B S Yeddyurappa is hinting at quitting the BJP, his dectractor and Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa said on Sunday that the BJP is a party built by workers and not by any individual.
“The BJP is what it is today because of the hard-work of lakhs of workers. Any effort to destroy it will not be tolerated,” Eshwarappa said on the sidelines of a party function here on Sunday.
However he refused to react to the recent tirades of Yeddyurappa against him and other BJP leaders. “He has spoken against me, Ananthkumar and Kageri. I will take his words as blessings. But I request him not to do anything that would damage the party,” he added. He also accused state leaders of politicising the Cauvery issue. “Congress leaders are trying to put the state government in a fix using the Cauvery issue. Parameshwar and Siddaramaiah had welcomed the decision of the state to walk out of the Cauvery River Authority meeting. But they are now criticising the decision,” he said.
